ADOC K-9 MAKES CONTRABAND ARREST AT LIMESTONE

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On April 27, 2026, at approximately 12:05 a.m., ADOC K-9 was patrolling around Limestone Correctional Facility when officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked nearby. They approached the vehicle and observed a drone and contraband in plain sight. They detained the driver, identified as Kaitlynn Watkins. She was transported to the Limestone County Jail and charged with Possession of Maijuana 1st, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Introduction of Contraband into a Facility by Drone, and Trafficking Synthetic. The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.

Recovered contraband included:
• 412 grams of Marijuana
• 104 grams of Flakka
• 28 grams of chemically altered paper
• 25 Suboxone strips
• 1 DJI Maverick Drone with remote
