ADOC MAKES MULTIPLE ARRESTS STATEWIDE

On Tuesday, May 19, 2026, agents with the Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) of the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) conducted a search warrant at a residence in Clayton, Ala. The warrant is the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Upon arrival, agents made contact with Christopher Jones and Moneki Jones and discovered a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested, transported to the Barbour County Jail, and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Moneki Jones was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, a former ADOC employee was arrested at St. Clair Correctional Facility. Drug Treatment Counselor Elizabeth Cox had been providing food to an inmate for resale purposes. She has resigned her position with ADOC and cooperated fully with investigative agents. She was transported to the St. Clair County Jail and charged with Use of Office for Personal Gain, Promoting Prison Contraband 3rd, Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Thursday May 21, 2026, LESD agents, assisted by the Daphne Task Force, served arrest warrants on Rachel White in Foley, Ala. She was transported to the Bullock County Jail and charged with Promoting Prison Contraband I, Conspiracy to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime, and Criminal Solicitation to Commit a Controlled Substance Crime. The warrants are the result of an ongoing criminal investigation.
