TRESPASSING INCIDENT LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS AT VENTRESS

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, a trespassing incident was reported on state property near Ventress Correctional Facility. ADOC K-9 was notified and officers conducted an investigative stop on a suspicious vehicle. The driver was identified as Sabrina Nicole Johnson and detained. K-9 officers also located a suspicious male hiding at the edge of the woods alongside AL-239 in Clayton, Ala. He was identified as Jasmine Kendale Williams, a former ADOC inmate. Both suspects were taken into custody by the Law Enforcement Services Division of ADOC.
They were ultimately arrested, transported to the Barbour County Jail, and charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance (synthetic narcotics), Possession of Marijuana First Degree, Promoting Prison Contraband (First, Second, and Third Degrees), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Trespassing about Prisons.
Recovered contraband included:
Approximately 40 grams of amphetamine/methamphetamine tablets
Approximately 780 grams of marijuana
Aproximately 34 grams of sprayed paper
4 folding knives
19 cell phones
11 sets of wireless earbuds
20 USB charging cables
3 charging blocks
2 digital scales
16 blunt wraps
35 Black & Mild cigars
1 SIM card
1 phone battery
